at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU Prague
in cooperation with the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering CTU Prague
and the Faculty of Information Technology CTU Prague

The objective of the international student conference POSTER 2012 is to provide an international forum for presentation of the undergraduate and postgraduate student research work in the field of electrical and electronic engineering and informatics. All accepted contributions will be presented as posters (maximum poster size is given by 75 cm width and 95 cm height) in eight parallel one-day sessions and published as full-papers in conference proceedings (on CD-ROM). All sessions will have a scientific track and an engineering track. Papers will be accepted based on technical contents and quality of presentation including good English (both tracks) and on originality (scientific track) or innovation (engineering track). NOTA: All authors must have a student status!
Best papers, rewarded by the evaluating committee, will be invited for publishing in Acta Polytechnica, the scientific journal of the Czech Technical University in Prague.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATIONS OF POSTERS
All contributions will be presented as posters in eight parallel
one-day sessions. The maximum poster size is given by 75 cm in width and 95
cm in height.
In the space 10 cm by 10 cm in the upper left corner the poster
identification
(Section_Number) should be placed. Use types sized 100 points.
Example: NS 9 or EI 10.
Authors are also invited to bring transparent sellotapes for attaching posters to poster stands.
REGISTRATION FEE
There is no registration fee for accepted participants.PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS
Papers in English language should be formatted according to the sample paper
(pdf). The sample paper for MS Word for Windows (*.doc) is here, LaTeX template
is here (without guarantee:-)).
Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically to the conference web site. Please, do NOT send the papers by e-mail. The file size in the pdf format (all fonts embedded) is limited to maximum 1 MB. Papers should be at least 4 pages long, the main criteria being the completeness of the information which is presented. Authors are invited to include their short professional curriculum and an ID-sized photo at the end of their papers.

LOCATION
The conference POSTER 2012 will be held on Thursday May 17, 2012 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, Technická 2, Prague 6, Czech Republic (Underground line A, station "Dejvická").
ACCOMMODATION
The conference will provide presenting participants who are not Prague residents with two free nights (from May 16 to 18 incl. breakfast) in double rooms. Reservation is made according to the information provided during the registration for the conference. The accommodation is provided in Masarykova kolej, to see the location on the map click HERE. Additional nights and accommodation of other guests are to be paid at the hotel reception desk.
Prices of additional nights for presenting participants: 610Kc/night in a single room, 550Kc/night in a double room. Prices for accompanying persons: 1320Kc/night in a single room, 845Kc/night in a double room.

Tram: Thakurova or a short walk from Dejvicka subway station (metro line A).
