Communication Technology – Radio Systems


Requirements for Course:

Seminars:

The understanding of the topics will be verified by the set of 5 rated homeworks (HW). Each homework will be evaluated and the student can obtain up to 8 points for each homework, i.e. 40 points for all five homeworks. The assignment of the homework will be published at the fixed time on the webpage and in the same time there will be sent assignment e-mail to the course students.

The deadline for delivery of the homework will be stated together with each homework (It will be usually the date of the seminar presenting the results or date of the publishing of the results at the webpage). The delay penalty: 0.5 point for each successive day.

In the end of the course there will be written final summary test that will cover the course topics (problems, application of theoretical equations and approaches, etc.) in the similar manner as problems solved in homeworks. The maximum amount of the points that can be obtained by the test is 30 points.

The necessary amount of the points for possibility to enter the final oral exam is 30 points computed as a sum of points from test and from homeworks.

Exam Info:

The exam will be in the oral form. The area of questions will cover the topics presented on the lectures.

There will be given three randomly chosen topics from the Topics List available at the webpage.

Each topic will be scored up to 10 points, therefore the student can reach up to 30 points in total from oral exam.

The final grades will be computed as a sum of points acquired from homeworks, written test and oral exam. The grades are according to ECTS classification standard as follows:

less than 50 points = failed (F)

50-59 = sufficient (E)

60 - 69 = satisfactory (D)

70 - 79 = good (C)

80 - 89 = very good (B)

90-100 = excellent (A)

To validate, student needs to achieve at least sufficient (E) final grade.
